Trade Knowledge Network membership includes regional representation from Africa, the Americas and Asia in addition to global perspective from IISD and ICTSD. Research arranged regionally enables the user to look at trade and sustainable development research that both are of national and regional importance. For example, in Asia, TKN partners in China and Pakistan examined the leather and textile industry. Soon to be completed TKN research, on shrimp aquaculture is being undertaken in Bangladesh and Vietnam. Each TKN partner brings national sustainable development perspective to emerging trade sectors that are increasing in regional and global importance to economic development.
